With how hot it has been in San Diego, the BBZ-1 Rat has been getting smacked around left and right. The bass can't seem to stay away. While the famous saying goes, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it!", curiosity got the best of me and I had to commit to the SPRO King Daddy frog for the night.

Read MoreWith an offshore/inshore season that will go down in the books as one of the greatest of all time, there are still fish locally to be caught. Although many are transitioning into rockfish and lobster mode, there are still pelagics that are active and are close to home. The yellowtail are still around and they are good sized models.
Checking in from up north. I got the chance to fish the Sacramento River again, and while I wasn't able to get another Salmon like I did my last time I was here, the Trout kept me occupied this time around.
