A Few Words From CCA IE Chapter VP Dave Brown...Boat and Kayak Anglers Take Note!

I am very excited about the upcoming Coastal Social events! They are always a great time to get out and fish with some of your friends in a great environment and to help support CCA.

We are already a few weeks into April and the first Coastal Social event is right around the corner. If you aren’t familiar with Coastal Social, it is a two-event series taking place in Long Beach and San Diego and caters to both Boat and Kayak anglers with two separate divisions. All benefits from the Coastal Social events go directly to CCA California in helping us do what we love…FISHING!

The first event happens Saturday April 30 and is out of Long Beach Harbor. Boat anglers can fish anywhere they would like, but must weigh in at 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro. Kayak anglers can also fish anywhere they would like, but their division is an aggregate length tournament all based on the TourneyX app.

The second event happens Saturday September 17, and is based out of San Diego, Mission Bay. Same as the first event, Boat anglers can fish anywhere they would like, but must weigh their fish at Dana Landing. Kayakers can launch wherever they would like and use the TourneyX app, just like the first event.

By participating, you will get a goody back full of swag from your favorite fishing brands as well as an awesome plaque for the winners and more importantly, bragging rights up and down the California coast!

The Coastal Social event proceeds benefit CCA California. It is a great event, and we are hoping for a big turnout. This year, I am serving as the weighmaster for both events! We hope to see you there!
