THE 2022 ART OF CONSERVATION FISH ART PROGRAM
White Bear Lake, MN- Wildlife Forever and Title Sponsor Bass Pro Shops are proud to announce new updates to the 2022 Art of Conservation Fish Art program. Open now, students can research, discover, and create artwork of any fish species, competing for prizes and international recognition.
The Fish Art program teaches young people across the world about fish, fishing and aquatic conservation. Students in Alaska, Georgia, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas are encouraged to visit the website for special prizes. The free international art and writing program is a perfect way to recruit new anglers in grades K-12 to discover the outdoors.
Participants can win prizes and recognition in their state then advance to compete internationally for top honors. The Art of Conservation program® ignites a life-long appreciation of nature and uses science to teach fish and aquatic conservation. Visit www.FishArt.org for more details.
“The Fish Art program is a powerful tool to engage, inspire, and connect people to fishing. With students now able to draw any fish, I can’t wait to see what they create. The artwork is as unique and special as each student who participates and tells a story like nothing else,” said Misty Mitchell, Education Director for the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium.
Students who participate are encouraged to use the new Digital Registration and Submission Forms to streamline participation and allow more students to enter. A personal one-page written essay, story or poem based on habitat and conservation needs is also required and awarded for those in 4th to 12th grade. The deadline for entry is March 31st.
The 2022 program has new awards from the International Game Fish Association, Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and more. Visit www.FishArt.org for full details.
“The Art of Conservation Fish Art program is an all-inclusive opportunity that allows anyone to participate from all corners of the world. Our state hosts and amazing sponsors have done so much for the growth of the program, and I can’t wait to see the entries to start coming in,” said Addison Motta, Education and Communication Manager of Wildlife Forever.
