BETHEL BASS FISHING COACH TO HOST NATIONAL TELEVISION SHOW
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Legends of the Outdoors™ announces the creation of a new outdoors television show with founder Garry Mason as host of the show. Mason, a professional hunting, and fishing guide for over forty years, founded the Legends of the Outdoors™ in 2002. Mason and his wife, Cindy did so to honor the great men and women of the hunting and fishing industry. Mason and his family live in Springville in Henry County.
Joining Mason as co-host of the new show will be Abby Jo Scheriger. Abby Jo is no stranger to the outdoors industry as she is the granddaughter of nationally recognized outdoorsman, David Hale, of Knight & Hale Legendary Game Calls™ company.
Each episode of the television show, named “Legends of the Outdoors TV,” will highlight the life and careers of the Legends of the Outdoors™ Hall of Fame members. The show is slated to air on the Pursuit Channel beginning January 2022.
Mason stated, “This show is an exciting project. I am very humbled to help tell the life stories of our Hall of Fame members and am proud to present these episodes for the public’s viewing. Having Abby Jo as co-host of the show will bring a young audience to the program as well.”
As the Head Bass Fishing Coach at Bethel University, Mason formed the university’s bass fishing program which has won eleven national titles since its inception in 2009.
