Fishing With "The Legend" George Kramer! A Quick 3 Hour Pre-Fish @ Pyramid Lake

Fresh Water Fishing Hall Of Fame George Kramer

Had a good friend and mentor George Kramer call me up to do a little pre fishing up at Pyramid Lake the other day. When you get a chance to jump in the boat with this Fishing Hall of Fame writer, you better take him up on the offer.

Started off early when the lake opened @ 7am. Did a quick boat inspection and headed out on the lake.

As you can see, time on the water writing about other anglers and now fishing himself with his son in team tournaments has got George quickly reading the bottom for the best places to fish.

Does not take long for George to connect with this 3+ pound bass staging for the spawn.

Here is George again running to the back of the boat like Mike Iaconelli (without the screaming) to fight another bass.

George keeping his rod tip low.

Here George goes to flip the bass into the boat, why? Well he forgot his net!

Solid little keeper

George is testing, spawning pockets, long points, humps and walls looking for the best area to start his up coming tournament.

Here he is sight fishing with his sonar. Yes this guys has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.

George has a secret weapon. Daiwa rod and reel setup, RoboWorm, Gamakatsu (Rebarb Hook) and a Team Davies Dropshot.  Nice secret George.

#1 basic bass fishing rig in the world!

Only 3 hours into the day and we have over 15 hits and a quick limit almost pushing 13 pounds.

George boats one last fish before he calls it a day for the long 2.5 hour drive home (without traffic)

Sometimes you do not have to spend the whole day on the water if you are able to break things down quickly. With a little luck on a boat draw you never know what may happen. Good Luck George.
