9/11 - Taking A Moment To Remember (Starting The Day At The Firehouse)

“One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans’ history. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice.”
—President George W. Bush at the Pentagon in 2008

It's hard to believe that 15 years have passed since that fateful day that changed all of our lives in ways we never could have imagined. No matter how much time goes by, we'll never forget where we were and what we were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001, when the news broke that the first plane had hit the World Trade Center.

And that's why we need to stop and take a moment today to remember those who lost their lives in the attacks, and also the loved ones they left behind who are still grieving every single day.

This is a special THANK YOU to all the members that I work with here at the L.A.F.D. FS 99.
