T-minus 3 Days: Tick-Tock Tick-Tock Mono County Fishing Opener Will Begin!

Twin Lakes is calling your name!

Twin Lakes is calling your name!

Hey Guys,

Josh Wray here, the Visit Mammoth dude.

Tick-tock tick-tock the count down for Fishmas is under way. T-minus 4 days until the Mono County Fishing Opener and things are shaping up quite nice.

We’ve got a slight chance of snow all week then Friday night the storm blows out to grace us with clear skies for the big weekend. The temperatures are forecasted to be in the low 60’s during the day and in the 30’s at night.

Keep in mind that 400lbs of fish were stocked in Twin Lakes last year right before the season closed so that should be the GO-TO spot for Saturday. Make sure you don’t miss out on the Fishmas events happening all weekend long with the Rafters Fishmas eve party, the Tom’s place Fishmas Derby, the”BIG Fish” contest at Crowley Lake, the "Opening Weekend" at Convict Lake and the Fishmas party at Mammoth Brewing Co.

As you can see it is going to be an action packed weekend here in Mono County, and we couldn’t be any more excited to cast a line and kick this season off.

We hope to see you out on the water and if you ever have any questions about fishing in Mammoth Lakes I’m only an email away.

Cheers everyone and Happy Fishmas!
