Ring In The School Year With Fish Art!

White Bear Lake, MN – Wildlife Forever is thrilled to announce the official opening of the 2024 Art of Conservation® Fish Art Contest. Entering is simple - Students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade select a fish species, research their fish and its conservation needs, create an original, handmade illustration, and submit their work through the online form found at www.FishArt.org. Youth in 4th grade and above will also submit a one-page piece of creative writing showing what they have learned about their species.

“The Fish Art Contest is known for its versatility. Art teachers, science teachers, writing teachers, homeschool groups, troop leaders, parents, and more use the program as an introduction to conservation. We look forward to continuing to support these efforts this year through new curriculum and teacher trainings coming in 2024,” said Addison Motta, Education and Communication Manager at Wildlife Forever.

The program’s accessibility and innovative approach to connecting youth and nature keeps students and teachers coming back again and again. Beginning in 1997, the Fish Art Contest gives youth the opportunity to connect with the world around them and learn about the importance of conservation, fishing, and protecting our waterways. The program is free, accessible to all, and draws thousands of entries each year from around the world. This international program is hosted locally in several states by state agencies, industry partners, and non-profits.

The Fish Art Contest is supported by Title Sponsor Bass Pro Shops, the USDA Forest Service, The International Game Fish Association, The Guy Harvey Foundation, The Bureau of Land Management, The National Fish Habitat Partnership and Western Native Trout Initiative, and Rapala.
