Dead Soldiers

Dead Soldiers

‘We are not in Southern California anymore.’ I’m in Central Florida, I’m with two local Pros fishing Lake Toho, and in the bottom of the cockpit is a pile of ‘Dead Soldiers’/used soft plastics.

The water here is tannic, stained and relatively shallow. Do you see a trend, size, and color, amongst these 'dead soldiers'? Averaging 9" in length, thick and fat there are no thin 4.5” Robo Worms here, and the color range is consistent. Makes me think, what would happen, especially during a difficult bite, if I ‘bucked’ the trend, both ways. Bringing tactics from the west to east and Vice Versa, the east to the west.
