Dee Thomas Ranks Martens #1 Bass Angler in the Nation. Here’s why…

“Aaron Martens is without a doubt the best fisherman in the United States,” – Dee Thomas. “Martens is phenomenal with light line; He’ll fish light line in places where most use 40 lb. braid.” He has had some ‘bad breaks,' but despite those mishaps, he is the 2005, 2013 and 2015 Bassmaster Angler of the Year and a four-time runner-up in the Bassmaster Classic. Dee explains that Martens can win at venues like the Delta and then head to Lake Mead and fish in 90 feet of water and win there too. Most anglers are ‘pigeon holed’ with their specialties; they fall apart when challenged outside of their comfort zone. This is not the case for Martens, extremely versatile and that is why Thomas has Martens at number one.
