As temperatures start to get hot so is the topwater pike bite.

It’s gradually getting warmer here in Germany. The fish are active, and rodents are increasingly being found in the water.

Since the beginning of May, I am using the BBZ-Rats much more.

I mainly fish the rat for pike in small ponds, shallow canals, or lakes with a lot of green vegetation.

The pike are not yet familiar with the lure but are showing plenty of interest.

Our summers are short, so I’m looking forward to August and September because the topwater bite will again be upon us for more exciting pike and rodent action!

Lots of bite marks, I love it!
