Public Urged To Avoid Algae Bloom in Pyramid Lake

The California Department of Water Resources has released a public health and safety announcement for Pyramid Lake. 

The lake is still open to the public for both boaters and shore anglers. Lake users including pet owners are advised to use caution. Pyramid Lake is located near Gorman California in Northern Los Angeles County. This same algae bloom is also reported in the Pit River arm of Lake Shasta in Northern California.
