A Pictorial Homage to the California Delta

A Pictorial Homage to the California Delta

Derrek takes you on a photographic tour of the California Delta.

The California Delta is an amazing bass fishery. Also known as the Sacramento - San Joaquin River Delta this expansive estuary located in Northern California just inland from San Francisco Bay covers approximately 1,100 square miles.  This week marks the 2014 FLW Rayovac Series Western Region event 5/15 - 5/17. For those who can't make it, haven't been there or would like a preview here is a photographic salute to this awesome tidal water paradise.

This is true anywhere but especially on the Delta. Blind corners, heavy boat traffic, huge boat wakes, ocean going ships, fluctuating tides, submerged obstacles, floating peat bogs… Don't let your guard down when navigating the Delta.

The Delta is a bass angler's paradise. With over 1,000 miles of shoreline covering seven rivers, countless sloughs, cuts, flooded tracts and harbors an angler could spend a lifetime exploring new water here. The BBZ wishes a safe tournament and the best of luck to this week's FLW competitors.
